Find your mattress by crib or cot brand

These sizes are checked against each manufacturer's published dimensions. If your model isn't here, measure it (see below) and use the size tables.

About depth: our bedside crib mattresses are 5 cm deep (Bednest 4 cm). Mattresses supplied with bedside cribs are often 2.5–3 cm, so ours sits about 2 cm higher. Check the height of your crib's sides before you order, especially once your baby can push up or sit.

How to measure

1. Measure inside the frame, across the base, not the outside of the cot and not the old mattress.
2. Length and width in centimetres. For oval Moses baskets and tapered cribs, measure the longest and widest points.
3. Check the depth from the base to the top rail. A thicker mattress is comfier but raises your baby higher.

A cot mattress should sit flat and fit snugly on all four sides with no gaps. For current safe sleep advice see The Lullaby Trust.
