ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS

Over the years Nursery Connections has nurtured a global supply chain and is constantly looking at new ways to create the perfect mattress for a safe and snug night’s sleep.

We can work independently offering our clients a range of mattresses to suit the current market place or we can work in partnership with our clients to create a mattress range to their bespoke specifications.

We always use high quality fabrics and components in all mattresses manufactured here at Nursery Connections and the mattresses are tested to the latest UK fire, safety and performance standards prior to launch.

We create multiple mattress sizes from Moses through to Cot Bed, we can go bigger…. Just let us know what you want!

OUR Manufacturing

Each mattress is handmade and assembled by one of our skilled members of staff. Whether we are making a basic starter mattress or a luxury technical mattress we take great care to deliver every product to the highest standard.

OUR SIZES

We manufacture all the standard sizes, some of which are outlined below, and any size in between. Just contact us to discuss your requirements.

Core

The options are endless when it comes to interiors for baby mattresses but there are core components which we manufacture with every day! We’re always looking for new and exciting components and would love to talk to you about your ideas.

Fabrics

There are definitely fabrics that are used over and over for baby mattresses as they have stood the test of time and offer properties such as hypo-allergenic, water resistant and breathable but there really are hundreds of options right from basic through to incredibly technical fabrics. We love talking about fabric properties and working with our customers to understand what they are looking for.

Fibre

Polyester filament fibre air laid and thermally bonded to form a durable pad which is breathable and allows airflow through the core to help regulate temperature.

A sustainable choice as plastic bottles is recycled into polyester fibre that makes up a percentage of these cores.

Classed as hypoallergenic, polyester fibres have a smooth surface so there is less likelihood of allergens settling on the fibre and causing allergic reactions.

Bonnel Spring

High tensile quality steel wire spiraled and used to secure adjacent rows of coils together to form the spring component.

Foam

The combustion-modified foam is arsenic, antimony, phosphorus, and TCCP-free. Hypo-allergenic which means that it offers protection against allergies such as asthma and eczema.

Pocket Spring

Individual springs sit in their own fabric pockets rather than being connected to each other like bonnel. Pocket springs react individually to pressure and weight.

Wool

Natural lambswool is anti-bacterial, inherently fire retardant and helps regulate body temperature.

Coir

Natural coconut fiber pads are bound together with natural latex rubber making them eco-friendly and incredibly strong and durable.

Latex

Natural latex is the sap of certain types of trees. It has exceptional resistance to wear and tear, great tensile strength, resilience and elongation.
